Indians can visit Thailand without a visa from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024, for up to 30 days.

Thai Tourism has waived visa requirements for Indian and Taiwanese citizens to attract more tourists.

This comes as the second piece of good news for Indian travelers in a week, following Sri Lanka's announcement of visa-free entry for visitors from seven countries, including India, China, and Russia, as part of a pilot project until March 31, 2024.

Post-Covid, tourism boards of various countries are aggressively targeting Indian travelers.

In 2023, India ranks as Thailand's fourth largest source market for tourism, with approximately 12 lakh arrivals, following Malaysia, China, and South Korea.
Indian government data reveals a consistent increase in Indians traveling abroad, from 1.4 crore in 2011 to a peak of 2.7 crore in 2019. After two pandemic years of travel restrictions, the number rebounded to 2.1 crore in 2022.
